The Verdict

Members of the Association automatically receive a subscription to our quarterly magazine, The Verdict, one of the most highly regarded publications among regional defense organizations. Articles written by members address trends in the law, publicize special court programs and advise readers of legislative progress and pitfalls. The Green Sheets are a component of our quarterly magazine, The Verdict. Although published later than most current advance sheets because of copy deadlines, The Green Sheets should serve as a useful review to see if counsel have missed any recent important decisions. The Green Sheets are always one attorney's interpretation of the case, and each attorney should thoroughly read the cases before citing them or relying on this digest. Careful counsel will also check subsequent history before citing.

Amicus Curiae Briefs

Members of the Association may view briefs filed by the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

ASCDC News
ASCDC is proud to be working with Judge Michael Nash, Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court’s “Children’s Court” in Monterey Park to make available fantastic pro-bono opportunities for our members. All of the children who are subject to this Court’s jurisdiction are victims of abuse or neglect. They are very much in need of legal representation on such matters as adoption and public benefits. ASCDC is in the early stages of working with the Alliance for Children’s Rights to provide attorneys who wish to donate even a small amount of their time to The Foster Children’s Adoption Program and the Public Benefits & Children’s Advocacy Program. Training will be available to those who wish to participate. We urge all of our members to give back to the community by participating in this or other pro-bono opportunities. Please contact the ASCDC offices if you would like to participate.”
