Dr. Maasumi’s presentation will focus on sources of pain, goals of pain management, and interventional pain management modalities. He will discuss the different types of injections (spinal, facet, trigger point, transforaminal), radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulators, and other pain management modalities. We will have time for Q&A at the conclusion of his talk as well.

Dr. Kasra Maasumi is a dual Board-Certified Pain Management Specialist and Neurologist as well as a Fellowship trained Headache and Facial Pain Specialist. Dr. Kasra Maasumi’s private practice is located in Rancho Santa Margarita and he works at Loma Linda Hospital where he is a clinical professor and has hospital privileges. As a board certified interventional pain management physician, Dr. Maasumi has experience treating pain due to spine related injuries, spinal compression fractures, knee pain and shoulder pain. Dr. Maasumi’s expertise also spans the treatment of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), chronic headaches, whiplash injuries, and post-concussion syndrome.
