Verdict Magazine Article Submission Guidelines
We are pleased to consider article submissions from ASCDC members as well as from clients, experts and vendors who work with our members. We also frequently feature material authored by judges. Our readers are always interested in useful articles dealing with substantive law issues, practice tips, and insightful comments from diverse viewpoints. We also occasionally run features such as reviews of law-related books and movies, or write-ups about events in the legal community.
Articles should be submitted to the Editor (Lisa Perrochet) in a Word document. Most fall between 1500 and 2500 words, but there is flexibility depending on the topic. Please avoid footnotes or endnotes—citations to authority, whether formatted using the California Style Manual/Yellow Book or in Blue Book style, should be in the text. Feel free to provide graphics and inset/sidebar material as an adjunct to the article. Finally, please include a short biographical description of the author's practice, and at your option, a photo of the author.
